Hello team,
Were there any announcements about latest PHP version support by AppDynamics?
Currently this version does not pass requirements check
Thank you in advance

Hello, @Serhii.Skrypchuk
I understand that PHP 8.1 was supported as of v21.11 of the Agent.
Am I misunderstanding your question? Please let us know if you need further information.
Kind regards,
Claudia Landivar, Community Manager & Editor

Hello @Claudia.Landivar ,
It looks that this PHP 8.0 is supported starting from v21.11, but not PHP 8.1
PHP 8.1 does not pass requirements validation
Best regards,
Serhii Skrypchuk

It looks like PHP only is supported to 8.0 as you noted. You can always take a look at AppD's latest product updates and announcements here: https://docs.appdynamics.com/paa

Hello,
Do you have any news about the availability date of PHP 8.1 support?
It is a version available since November 25, 2021 (see https://www.php.net/supported-versions.php).
Considering the PHP update cycle and the release of PHP 8.2 on November 24, 2022, is it possible to review the timeframe for the availability of support for the different PHP versions in AppDynamics?
Thanks

Hello @Devops.Devops,
I spoke to an AppD PM and I was told it's being worked on. I cannot give an exact date; it's looking like in the coming months though. Be sure to keep an eye on the Product Announcements section of the AppD Docs site - https://docs.appdynamics.com/paa
Thanks,

PHP 8.1 is supported by the AppDynamics probe since its version 22.12.0 released on December 7, 2022: https://docs.appdynamics.com/appd/22.x/latest/en/product-and-release-announcements/past-releases/pas...
Currently supported versions are: 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4, 8.0, 8.1: https://docs.appdynamics.com/appd/22.x/latest/en/application-monitoring/install-app-server-agents/ph...
Note that versions 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4 will no longer be supported as of February 2023: https://docs.appdynamics.com/paa/appdynamics-end-of-support-notices/end-of-support-notice-php-agent-...
Remaining question: when will the AppDynamics probe support PHP 8.2? With the rate of 1 release per year on the PHP side, we'll have to keep up with it from now on: https://www.php.net/supported-versions.php

Hi @Devops.Devops,
Thanks for your patience while I tracked this down. I was informed by a PM that it usually takes around 4ish months (subject to change) to release the new agent after a new PHP version is released.
Thanks,
Ryan, Cisco AppDynamics Community Manager

php 8.2 was released Dec 2022. It is nowJun 2023 some 7 months later, and no php8.2 support available in appdyanmics php agent. And no arm64 architecture support either.
