Question

What is a Unique Mobile Users?

Answer

All users are counted by calendar month. One unique mobile user represents one installation of a mobile application instrumented with the AppDynamics iOS or Android SDK.

For example,

- If you install the same instrumented application on two devices, this counts as two unique mobile users.

- Similarly, if you install two different instrumented applications on the same device, that again counts as two unique mobile users.

- If you uninstall and install the same instrumented application multiple time, each install will be counted as a unique user.

- Any upgrade to an already installed and instrumented application will not be counted as unique user. But if you are upgrading an application from a version which never was instrumented with appdynamics mobile agent to a version which is instrumented, this upgrade will be counted as an unique user.
