When changing the IP address of a Controller Server, note the following:
If there are no references to IP address in the
domain.xml
file (other than 127.0.0.1) then there is no change needed in this file.
Within the
/etc/hosts
file, if there is IP mapping other than 127.0.0.1, remove the old IP and add the new.
If Agents are connecting to the Controller via IP address, update the IP address in the Agent config file.
It is generally recommended to use DNS/CName instead of IP address for this reason.
If the MAC address has changed, request a new license file with the new MAC address.
