Full-stack Observability
- EUM (cookie consent) Enhancements
Your users are now prompted to acknowledge their consent with base page cookies. This allows AppDynamics to collect the information necessary for correlating user business transaction activity (EUM) with backend performance. See the Cookie Consent Management documentation for more information.
- Database Monitoring Enhancements
A number of roles, or states of the replica set and sharded cluster, have been added for viewing. These include primary, secondary, startup, recovering, and rollback. View these in the Topology tab for Database Agent 21.9.0 and greater.
Additionally, the Couchebase collector is enhanced with a Filter by Phase in the Queries page and elapsed time for the phases report in the Activity page.

Agent Updates
- Java Agent | Provides the support to monitor Azure Spring Cloud workloads. Please refer to the Monitor Azure Spring Cloud with Java Agent documentation for more information. (v21.11.0 released November 2, 2021)
- .NET Agent | Now supports .NET 6 RC2, .NET Core metrics, .NET Microservices Agent for Windows, WeakReferences for ASP.NET Core and additional logging to the stack trace sampling code. (v21.11.0 released November 2, 2021)
System Admin Updates
- We released an enhancement that improves how administrators create users, and also updates our password policies. These changes are meant to improve security while laying the groundwork for new capabilities that will be rolled out in the near future. Check out the Changes to User Creation and Password Policy FAQ for details. (Staged release started February 22, 2021)

- An issue experienced in Controller version 21.9, where users were unable to assign specific databases to assigned roles, has been fixed. (DBMON-8319)
