Hi,
Is there any way to suppress the alert notifications configured in Appdynamics for various health rules during s known application downtime. That is if there is a maintenance ongoing on the application, can we stop sending the alerts during that timeframe?
Also, we get an email when the health rule gets critical or warning. But is there any way to get emails when the condition gets restored?

Hi Snigdha,
1. Please follow below document link to suppress the alerts.
https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO43/Action+Suppression
2. Navigate to Alert and Respond-> Policies. Edit the policy and check for the Health rule violation events as required. Please find attached screenshot for the same.
Thanks,
Yogesh

Many Thanks Yogesh.
Another question:
We are trying to prepare a KPI report for applications which would show different transactions availabity over last 24 hrs.
Is there any way to show maintenance data in that availability instead of reporting the transaction failures.
ie, for planned maintenance window, the transaction will fail. Is there any way to ignore the failure in the availabilit KPI so that it doesn't miss the target value?
Thanks
Snigdha

Hey,
did you find an alternative for this? We are having the same question. Action Suppresion will only work over the Alert I guess, not the KPIS.
Best!
Julia
