I am looking to delete applications from my controller that fit the following criteria: 0 nodes and 0 calls in the last month. I know that inactive nodes are removed automatically, but the applications remain on the controller even if they have no nodes.
The only way I can find is doing multiple complex calls to the APIs. Is there a better way to do this or even just to get a list of applications that fit my "inactive" criteria?

Hi,
By default, if nodes are not reporting to the controller for a specific time, nodes are marked as historical and are deleted after some time.
Please refer to below link for more details on this feature as you are already aware of it.
https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO45/Historical+and+Disconnected+Nodes
You can delete an application from Controller UI from the application dashboard -> select "Actions menu" and confirm "delete" operation
refer docs:
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Yogesh
