support about Top 10 Query Wait States

Dear support,

in our ( UniversityofMilan ) saas platform we have a problem with the db agent: the top 10 query wait state is empty, but it wasn't some weeks ago.

I attach the agent logs and a screenshot.

Any suggestion to solve this issue will be welcome.
I would send you the log file but I don't' know how to do that, text file are not allowed in attach.

Re: support about Top 10 Query Wait States

The most common cause of some views populating in the Database dashboards and other not populating, is insufficient permissions for the user configured to access the target databases.

See the Database-specific links in https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO45/Add+Database+Collectors for details about the required permissions.

Re: support about Top 10 Query Wait States

the appdynamics agent connect to the db as sys, so I suppose it has all the required permissions.

Does it use the grid agent to collect data?

I paste here a segment of the log file.

Dear Support,

do you really have nothing to say about this problem?
Everything worked in the right way untill a mounth ago (more or less).

No suggestion?

Re: support about Top 10 Query Wait States

Hi Arianna,

This is the AppDynamics Community Forum, where AppDynamics users share information.

This is not Support. You can open a Support Ticket at https://help.appdynamics.com/hc/en-us/requests/

The log file snippet you posted shows a number of communication failures between the DB Agent and the Controller, which may correlate with the missing information, but nothing definitive.

When you open the Support Ticket, please include the Database type you're connecting to, and include Debug agent logs collected as described at https://docs.appdynamics.com/display/PRO45/Database+Agent+Logging

Re: support about Top 10 Query Wait States

thank you.

Now the matter is "what account should I use to log in to the support portal", but I will get by.
