For MQ monitoring we want to create health rules with dynamic entities. We have read that it should be possible to use a relative path with MQ alerts so, for example, all the queues of a queue manager will be monitored instead of creating criteria for each queue. We currently use the custom health rule type with Application Performance as an affected object.
With the custom health rule type, it isn't possible to set a relative path in the criteria. Perhaps we shouldn't use custom for MQ, but a different health rule type. Can you assist us with how we can set up dynamic MQ monitoring which automatically monitors MQ objects and adds or removes MQ objects when those are created on a queue manager level?

Hi Alicia,
I'm working on the MQ health rules in our Appdynamics. Currently, we use a custom health rules entity which doesn't allow a relative path in the entities. How did you set up the health rules? Were you able to create dynamic entities based upon a relative path like QMGR|QUEUES|*|?
Thanks.
Best,
Todo.

Hi all,
We are configuring the MQ extension for AppDynamics. We get 2 different types of errors. I don't know the exact MQ prerequisites that the extension needs to get the data from MQ.
Do we need to enable any MQ statistics? Currently, we don't have any statistics enabled.
Is there a debug log level to see where the following errors come from?
Error 1:
ERROR MetricWriteHelper - The metric is not valid OnQTime
Error 2:
WARN QueueMetricsCollector - PCF parameter is null in response for Queue:
Thanks.
