Hi,

Have you tried deleting those nodes and then do a restart?

If not, try that and see if you still see the dummy nodes.

I assume whenyou configure the Java agents, you specify the node name with -D argument.

In the machine agent config, do you also provide the application, tier and node name? If yes, i would suggest remove those values and machine agent should automtically link to the nodes  of the application running on the same servers. (in rare cases this does not happen but can be fixed easily)

Thanks

Gurmit.

Hi,
Yes I tried deleting that dummy nodes , at that time it was deleted, but
after the servers restart, again it appeared.

We have installed the machine agent 2 years back, so we are not sure where
our machine agent file is.

From appdynamics can we get the path where our machine agent is placed??

You can trace the machine agent install path from AppDynamics but can log on to your server and run "ps -ef | grep machineagent" to see what all instance of machine agents are running.

From there you will know which one is the latest that you installed vs the one that was previously installed and then removed one of them accordingly.

Thanks,

Gurmit.
