Can you elaborate on the Standalone Machine Agent Enhancements

  • The Standalone Machine Agent is no longer supported on Windows Server 2008 or Debian 7.

We have lots of 2008 Servers what does this mean for them utilizing the machine agents currently 4.4.1 version  and we will upgrade our controllers to 4.5 shortly

AppDynamics Team (Retired)

AppDynamics no longer supports the Standalone Machine Agent on Windows 2008 because Microsoft mainstream support has expired and extended support will expire soon (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/lifecycle/search/1163). The 4.5 Controller is supported with 4.4 Standalone Machine Agents so you can still upgrade your agents to the latest 4.4 release. The 4.5 agent should work on Windows 2008 but has not been tested and is not supported.

Debian 7 support was also removed in 4.5 because the end-of-life for this release was May 2018 (https://wiki.debian.org/DebianReleases).
