Hi,
We have database monitoring configured for our Business Applications, but sometimes the monitoring is not happening due to DB Agent service disability (it got stopped by some other admin activities in the DB server).
Could someone please advise whether we can make a Health rule alert option to notify us when DB Agent is not in UP status?
Regards,
Soundarajan

Hi Soundarajan,
Please check the metric
DB|KPI|Database Availability
It should report a value of 1 for every minute that the database is available, and 0 if it isn't.
The same metric can be used to create a health rule for all database types.
Thanks,
Yogesh

Can i use the value 0 and 1 to configure the DB Availability Health rule with the critical & warning condition.
Could you please advise on this.
