How to monitor CronJob process ?

I would like to monitor cron jobs on Linux, is there any easiest way to monitor ?
and also i would like to set up a email alert to notifiy the set of users when cron job stops working

AppDynamics supports monitoring background tasks, such as cron jobs. Please see Monitor Background Tasks for more information.
