Access to on premise controller and application

My client is having an on-premise controller and for production issues and triage we need to have access to their Application and dashboards from the internet or VPN of my company.

How can we do that ? What kind of user and access we need our clients ask to provide to our support teams?

Is it possible to share an on premise controller application to external users?
