Extract list of active applications

hi,

For an on-prem controller, could you please tell me which part of the default job file in the DEXTER tool can fetch me the list of ACTIVE applications on a controller? So that I can modify the job file only to get this list in CSV format?

I see there is an allapplications.json file that has this active tag but is there a corresponding report in CSV format also generated?

I'm not entirely sure, because I haven't played around with the DEXTER tool much myself, but according to the DEXTER extension's (here: https://www.appdynamics.com/community/exchange/extension/appdynamics-dexter-data-extraction-enhanced...) walkthrough part 3 page. It looks like you may be able to pull that from the Entity Metrics or Entity Details parameters?

Hi Eric,

thank you for the update, but pulling metrics takes a very long time. Especially when there are multiple large size controllers.

I have gone through part 3 , without the metrics also there is allapplications.json generated, but no corresponding CSV report for the same?

@Daniel.Odievich  - Request  you to please guide on below ?

How to extract list of active application from on-prem controller by only checking the metrics availability or metrics reported and not extracting them locally, as data extracted is too huge?
